November 2020. In 5 days, our Bia Blooms community raised over $10,400 to support the work of the Downtown Women’s Center. 190 donations. 190 stems placed to represent each and every Arrange for Change donation made to support the work of the Downtown Women’s Center.

Founded in 1978, the Downtown Women’s Center of Los Angeles is focused exclusively on serving and empowering womxn experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless womxn.

SELAH

September 2022. In 5 days, our Bia Blooms community raised over $4,411 to support the work of the SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition. 97 donations. 97 stems placed to represent each and every Arrange for Change donation made to support the work of the SELAH.

ABOUT SELAH:


SELAH Neighborhood Homeless Coalition is a neighborhood-level movement led by volunteers responding to homelessness in a proactive, compassionate, and effective way. Hosting weekly drop-in programs that offer hot meals, showers, clothing, hygiene essentials, and linkage to existing services.


EQUAL JUSTICE INITIATIVE

January 2021. Bia Blooms for Family Gold by Local Eclectic launched as a jewelry capsule collection. This exclusive collection includes reimagined versions of a few of Bia's own family heirlooms, along with delicate floral-inspired solid gold essentials and precious gemstones. 10% of all sales will be donated to support Equal Justice Initiative.

The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.


SPECIAL DELIVERY MUTUAL AID: 1 DAY

February 2021. In less than 24 hours, our Bia Blooms community raised $3453 to contribute towards care packs with necessary PPE, hygiene products, and groceries for our DTLA Flower Market essential workers. This initiative was led by The People’s Bodega & Care Packs LA.

DONORS CHOOSE CLASSROOMS: 1 DAY

March 2021. With just over 100 donations in less than 24 hours, our Bia Blooms community raised $2082 to support teachers via Donors Choose and help fully fund 11 classrooms in need of materials including: updated technology, inclusive & diverse books, and art supplies.
